Primary Computing Network

Informal networking from 4pm – 4:30pm to allow travel from your school to the venue!

This is a free networking group for your to meet other teachers in the local area who are learning to teach Primary Computing together. We aim to share and learn from each other as well as exploring different areas each meeting.

The first meeting will be focussed on ‘Computing Unplugged’ and we ask that you try something unplugged out in your classroom and share about what you found in this first meeting if you can. If you have not heard of Computing Unplugged before it’s a way of teaching the principles of Computing without any technology – this could be through role play or models or something else. There are a collection of activity ideas here: http://gb.pinterest.com/helencaldwel/computing-unplugged/ one of which you might like to try before you come along.

At this first meeting we would like to discuss what the members of the group want next and how they would like the group to be run. So come along, get involved, and have your say!
